I'm excited. We went to Sunday brunch with 29 people. Dad Buffett was very varied. Very tasty and tasty. My guests were thrilled. The service was great and attentive. I can highly recommend the restaurant.

Clean but in an isolated place

Culinary failure. We went to brunch on Sundays and the food was really bad. The meat dry, the sauces watery without being properly flavored. The vegetables are dead cooked without any taste. Perhaps it's the change of ownership but we were there 2 years ago and were totally thrilled. At that time it was often full on Sundays this time as well as no one was there. Staff was just as bad-overwhelmed, orders were ignored and as a thank you it was closed at 14:00.

I went there to eat schnitzel on Friday. The service was available but extremely unfriendly, rustic. Statements according to the motto: "In the case of special requests, one cannot guarantee that these will be taken into account, since several groups are present and mix-ups are possible", rounded off the negative impression. (You just have to keep in mind the consequences a mix-up can have on an allergy sufferer) The schnitzel didn't meet my taste, for me personally it was one of the worst I've eaten. But true to the motto: "Try makes you smart", this restaurant will never see me again.

Delicious and high quality food. The prices are good and the portions large. I can only recommend it! The Sunday buffet (brunch) is incredibly diverse and very tasty. It's best to reserve here in advance. Schnitzel Day, Friday from 5 p.m., is also worthwhile. Each schnitzel only 8 € and it tasted very good :) In warm weather you can also relax on the large terrace (with garden). This is very beautiful and looks great! We would love to come back.

We were already received unfriendly at check-in. No welcome, just that we were lucky enough to check in now, because we were actually too early, even though we had given the time for the check-in when booking online. Apart from that, the lady at the front desk did not look overworked except very few guests were there. The room made a grubby impression, in the shower was mold and the plastic wrapped toothbrush cups seemed used and damaged. The entire house smelled very unpleasant fryer and the smell even moved into our clothes .... All in all, I can not recommend the house Daun - the price is too much for the performance offered.

Room to the street is quite loud and noisy. It is small, as described and clean. The breakfast is good. The overnight stay is available at a reasonable price. For a night completely ok.

Unfortunately, a flop at Christmas. Have repeatedly let us confirm the bowling alley. Nothing was prepared, dirty tablecloths, unfriendly and incompetent staff. A Christmas card without a menu for kids. Never again.

The rooms facing the street are unfortunately quite noisy due to the traffic. The breakfast buffet is pretty poor. Every day the same three types of sausage and sliced ​​cheese, some fruit, honey and jam, Nutella, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and sausages ... to sum up: very manageable. The rooms are clean. There are no shopping opportunities in the area, but the bus stop directly in front of the hotel without changing to the city. Hiking trails through the forest start directly behind the hotel and opposite is an alpaca farm that offers tours.

Just had a wonderful 4 night stay at Hotel Daun. Very comfortable rooms, wonderful food and terrific staff.

I stayed at the Hotel Daun for a total of 2 weeks. The room is very clean (if that weren't the case, it would be 1 star). The staff is mostly friendly, the boss, among other things, not as I had to find out when I arrived. He said that on Sundays an arrival is only planned until 20:00! My booking confirmation does not say anything about it. Only arrival after 6:00 pm with which I go out that at least someone is in the house until midnight! The room is very, very small approx. 8m² including bathroom, bed and closet. You can use 3-4m². There is no possibility to store the suitcase in the room except in the closet (of course also small), otherwise it is just in the way. The rooms are generally run down. The fact that the whole door click with the lock on my bathroom door almost flew out was not interested even after reporting to the reception. There were also other minor defects that did not support the overall impression positively. We stayed with several people in the hotel and there were also major and minor damage / defects in the other rooms. The television is best. I don't know if it worked because it wasn't possible to watch TV. You sit 1.5m away from the TV and have to look up 2m! No idea who came up with the snap idea to mount the TV on the thinker (was not only the case with me). On the positive side, it must be said that the heating was very good. Breakfast was below average. The rolls were hard and the boiled eggs were not edible (by my standards). The rest is standard of hotels. The hotel is located between Bochum and Castrop-Rauxel on a thoroughfare more or less in the forest. There is a bus stop in front of the door. In terms of price, I found it to be overpriced what is offered there. The bottom line is for short stays, but it is not recommended for longer stays.

Five stars without ifs and buts! Very attentive staff and a lovingly decorated buffet shows that people here understand their trade .. I will definitely recommend it to my friends! 👌 It would be important to mention that here are two parking spaces available. One in front of the house and a larger 30m next door ..
